I am Attorney David McLoon, and I have been practicing law in the area of consumer bankruptcy since 1986. During that time I have helped many, many people like you who have suffered from seemingly insurmountable debt problems.

I concentrate exclusively on consumer bankruptcy, helping individuals and small businesses with debt problems, and I am proud to have served a very diverse clientele. I give personal attention to every client because I recognize that, although some legal issues may be similar, you are unique and deserve to be treated with respect for your individuality and personal circumstances.

Personal Accomplishments

Giving back to the community is important to me. Over my career in both Maine and Massachusetts I have been involved in civic affairs and children’s issues, including Foster Parenting. Below are some of those achievements and recognitions.

  • Chairperson of Bath, Maine City Council 1994 to 1996 (youngest chairperson in the history of the city); Councilman from 1992 to 1996
  • Council representative to the Bath School Committee 1994 to 1995
  • Member of Winthrop School (Ipswich, Massachusetts) school council 2000 to 2003
  • Named “Parent of the Year” (with my wife, Lisa) by Cape Ann Families – 2005
  • Named “All Star Foster Parent”  (with my wife, Lisa) by the Department of Social Services  – 2007
